Retrospect

Retrospect is a wonderful thing. In retrospect I can see how God has moved in my life to prepare me for things that I didn't see coming my way. In retrospect, I can see that God knew what I was going to face in my life and the He placed people around me to love me and support me and to lift me up when I didn't have the strength to do that on my own.

I have had some struggles in the past year, mostly financial or with the "ex". But, in retrospect, I see that all those things were used for my good and that from the trials God has blessed me. I have discovered that I have friends who are more precious than gold. It sounds cliche...but when you have friends and relationships that touch you, it makes the struggles seem tame. Many of my tears this past year have been tears of joy as God taught me what true friendship and love is about.

My grandpa was a pastor his entire life. He played the guitar and he used to sing an old hymn.."Count Your Blessings, name them one by one.." My blessings have become walking and talking blessings, each in their own way and I can try to name them..one by one...Leslie, Didi, Neal, Joel, Tricia, Bob, Pamela, Anne, Tania, Bobbi, Phil, Lisa, Pastor Bob and the list goes on....More blessings than I deserve and yet He continues to let them flow.

In retrospect, all I need to say is God is good and faithful...truly All things work for good to them that love HIm and are called according to His purpose. :)

Ok. I'm totally crying here! Something you have seen often... both good and bad. One of the many ways you've blessed me too. I love you and I thank God for you every single day!

welcome to the blog world! it is only God who can take the individual unpleasant situations and weave them together for His glory and for our good. He is faithful and hindsight IS 20/20, as the old saying says
